|This is regarding the Screen-Sharing Add-In….Adobe is planning to make a new version of the Adobe Connect add-in available on July 31st.
There are no changes to the requirements for Adobe Connect 9.2, but the new version contains several improvements and bug fixes. Any users experiencing issues with Adobe Connect are encouraged to upgrade.
Users who do not already have the add-in installed will be prompted to install the new version during an Adobe Connect meeting when they invoke screen sharing, application sharing, or share PowerPoint (PPTX format) files.
Users who already have the current version of the add-in installed (version 11.9.959) will NOT be prompted to update their add-in since it already meets the minimum requirements for Adobe Connect 9.2.
It is likely that this new version of the add-in will become the required version for the next release of Adobe Connect. More details will follow regarding Adobe Connect 9.3 in the upcoming weeks.
The add-in can also be installed manually from Adobe’s Downloads and Updates page after July 31st.
